Premiership: Reds still top

United maintained the three-point gap at the top of the Premiership with the 1-0 win over Blackburn on Saturday, but Chelsea kept up the pressure with a clinical and comfortable victory over Watford earlier in the day.Didier Drogba took his tally to 14 as the Premiership’s top scorer, his hat-trick inspiring Chelsea to a 4-0 win at Stamford Bridge. Andrei Shevchenko scored the other goal as Jose Mourinho’s men - only temporarily - moved level on points with United.Aston Villa, rejuvenated under Martin O'Neill's management, moved into third with a 1-0 win at Everton thanks to a goal from Chris Sutton. Manchester City were held 0-0 at home by Newcastle United. The Blues have only scored once in their last five games, the Magpies haven't netted in any of their last four.
