SHAH ALAM: An alternative treatment, called Colour Vibration Therapy (CVT), was today introduced by the Faculty of Universal Science of Colours Malaysia. CVT is an alternative healing technique based on research on light, colour and sound wave technology and its connection with illnesses through hydrotherapy treatment.

The faculty’s lecturer, Prof Dr Norhisham Wahab, said CVT also stresses that the cure for every ailment lies within the patient. The CVT treatment helps patients tackle their illnesses by identifying the colour in the perspective of their ailments, habits, attitude, mentality and motivation, he added. The CVT formula, which is chemical- and synthetics-free, is safe enough to be used by patients of all ages, he said.

CVT Executive Chairman Sdn Bhd Malaysia, Tan Sri Rozali Ismail, who is also the Executive Chairman of Puncak Niaga Holdings and Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Malaysia (DPMM) Selangor Chairman received an honorary doctorate in services and humanity at the convocation.

Set up in Seksyen 13 here in April, the faculty – part of the Open International University of Complementary Medicine (OIUCM) in Colombo, Sri Lanka – is recognised. Eight graduates received their degrees from OIUCM Chairman, Prof Dr Anton Jayasuriya, at a ceremony here. Another 19 received their further diplomas and 260 their diplomas and certificates.

In Malaysia, CVT has been available since 1999 from Colour Vibration Theory Sdn Bhd under the patronage of the Open International University which received the acknowledgement of the World Health Organisation (WHO) through the Alma-Ata Declaration 1962.

Rozali said there were 20 CVT clinics nationwide offering the internationally recognised method of treatment for HIV, cancer and Parkinson’s disease patients
